How users opt in to Hyperspace text messages

About the program

Hyperspace Account Security is a text message program operated by Hyperspace Inc. It sends one-time password reset codes to users of the business applications Hyperspace builds and hosts, so a user who forgets their password can reset it securely.

Who receives texts: only signed-in users of Hyperspace-hosted applications who add their own mobile number and agree to receive these messages.
What we send: password reset codes the user requests, one confirmation when they enroll, and a confirmation if they opt out.
What we never send: marketing, promotional or advertising messages.

Consent is not a condition of purchase or service. Users who don't opt in can still use every application; if they forget their password, their administrator or Hyperspace support resets it for them.

How a user opts in

The user signs in to their applications at login.apps.hyperspaceconnect.com with their password and a one-time code sent to their email.
On the Add your mobile number page, the user enters their own mobile number.
The user reads the disclosure and checks the consent box. The box is not checked in advance, and the number can't be saved without it.
Hyperspace records the consent with the date, time, mobile number and the wording shown.
We send one confirmation text explaining how to get help and how to opt out.

Mobile numbers are never added by Hyperspace staff, purchased or imported from other sources. Users who don't complete these steps are never sent text messages.
