1. Who this policy covers
- Clients are the businesses and organizations that engage Hyperspace to build or host their applications.
- Users are the people a client authorizes to use those applications, such as its employees.
- Visitors are people who browse this website.
Clients decide what business data their applications hold. For that data, Hyperspace acts as a service provider and processes it on the client's behalf and under the client's instructions.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: a user's name, business email address, sign-in history and the applications and organizations they are authorized to access.
- Security information: one-time sign-in and password reset codes (used once and not kept), and records of security events such as sign-ins and password changes.
- Mobile number and SMS consent: if a user chooses to add one, their mobile number, the consent they gave, and the date, time and wording of that consent.
- Client business data: information a client's users enter into the client's applications.
- Technical information: IP address, browser type, device information and logs needed to operate and secure our services.
- Contact information: details you send us when you contact us by phone or email.
3. How we use information
- To provide, operate, maintain and support the applications and services our clients engage us for.
- To verify identity at sign-in and send account security messages, including sign-in codes by email and, for users who opt in, password reset codes by text message.
- To keep our services secure, prevent fraud and misuse, and investigate security events.
- To meet legal, regulatory and contractual obligations.
- To respond to questions and support requests.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Text messages (SMS)
Hyperspace operates the Hyperspace Account Security text program, which sends password reset codes to users who opt in. Details of how users opt in are on our SMS Opt-In page.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with the service providers that help us deliver messages (such as our SMS delivery provider), and only for that purpose.
- We send only account security messages. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
- Message frequency varies; texts are sent only when you request a password reset, plus one enrollment confirmation. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You'll receive one confirmation and no further messages unless you opt in again by replying START.
- Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the details below.
5. How we share information
We share information only as follows:
- With the client whose applications a user is authorized to use, including account and access information for that client's applications.
- With service providers that help us operate, such as cloud hosting, email delivery and SMS delivery, under contracts that limit their use of the information to providing services to us.
- For legal reasons, when required by law, legal process or to protect the rights, safety and security of users, clients, Hyperspace or others.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, where information would remain subject to this policy.
6. Data retention
We keep account information for as long as a user's access is active and as needed to provide services, meet legal obligations and resolve disputes. Client business data is kept according to our agreement with the client. One-time codes are not stored after use. SMS consent and opt-out records are kept as long as needed for legal and carrier compliance, then deleted or de-identified.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect information, including encryption in transit and at rest, two-step verification at sign-in, access controls, network firewalls, monitoring and regular security updates. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect information against unauthorized access, loss and misuse.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, including California, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to access, correct or delete it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below. For data held in a client's application, we may refer your request to that client, who controls that data. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.
9. Children
Our services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date.
